Things I use
Hardware, software, and tools I lean on day-to-day. Inspired by uses.tech.
Hardware
- MacBook Pro 14" (M4) — primary machine for code and design.
- Gigabyte G24F — external display for the second window of code or Figma.
- Armageddon MBA-61R — 60% mechanical, tactile switches.
- Logitech MX Master 4 — daily-driver mouse.
- SteelSeries Arctis 5 — wired headset, for actual focus.
Editor & terminal
- Cursor — Tab autocomplete and agent mode; I drive the architecture, the agent does the typing. Small extension set (Prettier, ESLint, Astro, Tailwind IntelliSense).
- Theme — default dark themes. I don't customise.
- Font — JetBrains Mono in editor and terminal.
- Terminal — zsh in Cursor's built-in terminal, default prompt.
Design
- Figma — UI design, prototyping, design tokens.
- Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator — held over from my ElitePSD days; still useful for marks and stills.
- After Effects — motion and micro-interactions.
- CapCut — quick video edits and reels.
Stack of choice
- Frontend — Next.js or Astro for SSR, React for interactive surfaces, Tailwind for styling, Flutter for mobile.
